A few kilometers from the town of Gualdo Cattaneo, immersed in the green landscape of the Umbrian hills, is the La Carbonaia farmhouse. A place that takes its name from our tradition, from the work of our grandparents who were charcoal burners and woodcutters in the Pomontino area. The farmhouse is part of the family farm which has maintained a rustic style décor, according to the Umbrian tradition.
La Carbonaia, an intimate and welcoming place, is the ideal destination to relax and unwind in the quiet of a magical place which, thanks to its geographical location, allows its guests to live a unique experience in contact with nature, far from the daily chaos. of the city.
A place of great interest for nature lovers who, through marked paths and trails, can immerse themselves in the nearby Mediterranean scrub woods, dominated by holm oak, strawberry tree, heather and viburnum.
From one of the paths that start right from the cottage, you can reach the “Castellaccio”, historical symbol of the town, whose remains are still present on the slope of the mountain called “Poggio delle Civitelle”, located on the ridge between the municipalities of Gualdo Cattaneo and Bevagna.
From the structure you can easily reach the major artistic and cultural centers of Umbria (Assisi, Spello, Perugia, Gubbio, Spoleto, Orvieto), as well as places of naturalistic interest (Sibillini Mountains, Trasimeno Lake).
The farm also has active collaborations for guided tours and cultural sports activities: realization of the surplice, trekking, visits to a farm. Guests have access to a beautiful Jacuzzi with a panoramic view over the valley.
